5 Refreshing Bigelow Iced Tea Recipes You’ll Love

Spring, glorious, spring—who doesn’t love it!? That feeling you get when the sun hits your face…. taking leisurely strolls to appreciate the blooming beauty that’s all around……it just can’t be beat this time of year, that’s for sure! And guess what? Summer’s right around the corner and enjoying a glass (or three) of Bigelow iced tea is a perfect way to celebrate the season! In fact, TONS of tea lovers count iced tea as one of their favorite beverages year-round—80% of the tea consumed by Americans is iced. (Wow!)

Making a great glass or pitcher of iced tea is easy peasy, and it’s perfect for picnics, BBQs, parties, camping…..you name it! So try one (or all) of these refreshing recipes from Bigelow Tea, fill a Thermos or a jug and bring some along on your next excursion!

Fresh Brewed Bigelow Iced Tea

A classic iced tea that can be made by using of Bigelow’s luscious teas. Over ice, it’s unbeatable.

Ingredients

Iced Tea by the Glass:

  • 4 to 5 fl oz. boiling water
  • 1 Bigelow Tea bag
  • Ice Cubes*
  • For Iced Tea By The Quart:
  • 1 cups (8 fl. oz.) boiling water
  • 6 Bigelow Tea bags

Instructions

By the Glass: pour 4 to 5 fl. oz. boiling water over 1 tea bag. Steep 3 to 5 minutes. Sweeten to taste. Pour into tall glass filled with ice…and enjoy.

By the Quart: Place 6 tea bags in one-quart container. Pour 1 cup (8 fl. oz.) boiling water over tea bags; steep 10 minutes. Remove tea bags. Add 3 cups (24 fl. oz.) cold water. Serve over ice. Sweeten to taste. Express your creativity for a totally unique iced tea experience–combine several of your favorite Bigelow Tea flavors!  And here’s something else to try….the next time you make iced tea… try freezing some in an ice cube tray. Then use iced tea cubes instead of regular ice cubes to keep iced tea cool, fresh and flavorful!

Green Tea with Mango and Perfect Peach Iced Tea

This amazing flavor combination that includes Perfect Peach Herbal tea and Green Tea with Mango will make you feel like you’re in the tropics.

Pour boiling water over 2 Perfect Peach tea bags and 1 Green tea with Mango tea bag. Steep 3 to 5 minutes. Remove tea bags. Add cold water. Sweeten to taste. Pour into tall glass filled with ice…and enjoy.

Citrus Tea Cooler


This refreshing punch is perfect for summer. The combination of Bigelow’s Lemon Lift Tea, fresh citrus juices, and mint is a delicious variation on southern “Sweet Tea”. Add vodka for an adult kick!

Serves 8

Ingredients

  • 6 cups boiling water
  • 10 Bigelow Lemon Lift® Tea Bags
  • 2 bunches fresh mint (about 1.5 oz)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (from about 4-6 lemons)
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice (from about 3-4 large oranges)
  • 1 cup vodka (optional)
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced

Instructions

Place the fresh mint in a large glass pitcher or bowl, and add boiling water. Add the tea bags and allow to steep for 30 minutes. Remove tea bags and all the mint leaves. Add the sugar and stir to dissolve. Pour in the lemon and orange juices and allow mixture to cool to room temperature. Add vodka if desired. Refrigerate until cold. Stir before serving. Pour into glasses filled with ice and garnished with lemon

Strawberry Green Tea

This Strawberry Green Tea is perfect for sipping throughout the day.

Serves 6

Ingredients

Instructions

Place hulled strawberries in blender and puree until smooth.  Pour in medium saucepan and add sugar.  Bring to boil.  Remove from heat and set aside to cool.  Bring 5 cups cold water to a boil.  Pour over 5 tea bags and let brew for 5 minutes. Mix strawberry mixture and green tea together and chill.

Serve chilled over ice.
